Professor Sandra CHAN Sau Man

Biography
Prof. Sandra Chan is currently a Professor (Clinical) of Department of Psychiatry and the Assistant Dean (Student Support) of the Faculty of Medicine at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. She has a clinical practice in psychiatry in the Hospital Authority and is a keen educator steering the development of educational programmes for university students. Sandra is enthusiastic in bridging neuroscience with good clinical practice. Her key research interests include combined approach of functional MRI/ optical imaging and navigated neuromodulation, the relationships of brain connectomics and psychological health in developing brains.

She hopes that good science will de-mystify mental health issues, “let science speak for the truths to take away all undue stigma our patients and their families are bearing for unspoken sufferings”.
