Doctor ZHANG Jihui
Biography
Dr. Jihui Zhang is an Adjunct Associate Professor (non-Clinical) in the Department of Psychiatry at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Jihui received his medical degree education in Sun Yat Sun University, Guangdong, PhD in Medical Sciences from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and post-doctoral fellowship at National Institute of Mental Health, United States, specializing in psychiatric epidemiology. Jihui is particularly interested in identifying the early biological and sleep-circadian markers of young people at-risk of developing mood disorders. He collaborates widely with clinician scientists in the Greater Bay area in his newly founded Bipolar Cohort. When asked of the most burning research question in his scholarly quest, he envisions “a comprehensive biomarker platform for early identification and intervention of genetically driven psychiatric disorders.
